PVC film is mainly divided into soft PVC film and hard PVC film. Soft PVC film contains softener, which is easy to become brittle and difficult to preserve. It is mainly used for floors, ceilings and leather surfaces. Hard PVC film does not contain softener, has good flexibility, is easy to form, is not easy to be brittle, is non-toxic and pollution-free, has a long shelf life, and has great development and application value.

In addition, PVC film can also be classified according to its use:

  • Agricultural film: including ground film and greenhouse film, which are used for agricultural covering and crop protection.
  • Packaging film: used for food packaging, industrial product packaging, etc.
  • Special purpose film: such as breathable film, water-soluble film, film with piezoelectric properties, etc.

PVC film can form different film types through different molding processes during the production process:

  • Blown film: blown after extrusion plasticization.
  • Cast film: after extrusion plasticization, the molten material is cast at the mold mouth.
  • Calendered film: Made by rolling plasticized raw materials through several rollers on a calender.
